Feel Confident With Your Dentures at TSa Dental

Dentures

If you have lost a few or all of your teeth, TSa Dental can provide partial and full dentures to help replace them. From acrylics to metal and even flexible materials, our custom-crafted dentures are designed to fit snugly over your gums for maximum comfort. Issues like eating problems, speaking impediments and facial sagging caused by missing teeth can be prevented with the proper fitting denture. Furthermore, unlike crowns and bridges that must remain in place permanently; ours need only be removed daily for cleaning purposes.

Full Dentures

If you’re missing most of your teeth, dentures are the perfect solution. The procedure begins with tending to potential issues in your mouth like extracting any damaged or infected teeth and healing infections. After allowing several weeks for full recovery – typically 3-6 weeks – a final set of dentures will be fitted for you.

Of Dentures?

Partial Dentures

If you’re only missing a few teeth, partial dentures might be the best solution for you. They are usually more affordable than full dentures and can instantly give your smile back its beauty.

What happens during a denture appointment?

If you are having a new denture made you will first need to have impressions taken. The dentist will use a material called alginate to make a mould of your mouth. This mould will then be sent to the lab to create your new denture.

On your second visit the dentist will check your bite to make sure the denture will be comfortable. It’s at this stage when the colour and size of the teeth will be chosen.

On your third visit the dentist will have received a wax trial denture. You’ll be able to try out this wax denture to make sure you are happy with the colour and shape of the teeth as well as the overall fit.

On your final visit you will receive your new denture. The dentist will make any necessary adjustments and ensure you are comfortable inserting and removing the denture from your mouth.

It can take a few weeks to get used to wearing a new denture. It takes time to ‘wear in’, like a pair of new shoes. If your denture is not fitting as you’d like you can return to the practice for further adjustments to be made.

Overall it can take approximately 4-6 weeks to have a denture made and fitted.
